The tour route: what you'll see from the water
We set sail from the Manga district, one of Cartagena's most beautiful historic neighborhoods, with colorful colonial houses overlooking the sea. The first part of the tour runs along the Bocagrande coastline, with the city's modern skyline in the background.
We continue out into the open bay, passing close to the statue of the Virgen del Carmen, which rises from the sea like a guardian of the port. This is one of the favorite photo spots: the image of the virgin with the illuminated city behind it is simply perfect.
Then we turn toward the Walled City, where the 17th-century colonial walls become the main stage as the sun approaches the horizon. This is the moment when everyone on the boat reaches for their phone or camera at the same time.
