Powder-white sand, crystal-clear water in multiple shades of blue and turquoise, and a lively atmosphere with coconut vendors, crafts and seafood. It's split between a public zone (free access but crowded) and several beach clubs like Puerto Medallo, which offer controlled access with food and pool included.
Polo Beach — The peaceful one
On the other side of the peninsula, Polo Beach is the complete opposite of Playa Blanca: fewer tourists, calmer water, more intimate atmosphere. The perfect choice for those who want a beach day without crowds. Access is through the Polo Beach Club complex.

How to Get to Barú from Cartagena
There are two ways to get there:
